As the lead producer of a launch photoshoot for the collaboration between adidas Originals and Shangguan Zhe's emerging Chinese label, SANKUANZ, my role was to orchestrate the production for a shoot which would be used to unveil one of their most extensive footwear collections to date. Inspired by adidas' retro basketball silhouettes, SANKUANZ crafted a trio of hybrid sneakers, infused with their iconic Solar green hue and innovative sole-swapping techniques, spanning design influences from the late '60s to the '90s.

For the shoot, our goal was to capture the seamless fusion of urban basketball culture with a retro-futuristic aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from both on-court basketball style and the vibrant streetball scene of the West Coast. Zhe's design vision, rooted in the 1990s, gave rise to a diverse range of reversible hoodies, sweatshirts, chino pants, basketball jerseys with shorts, and showtime hoodies, offering versatility and expanding the potential for unique looks.

We aimed to craft a visual narrative that bridged adidas' storied heritage with SANKUANZ's contemporary vision, drawing upon our collective past while looking boldly towards the future.
