When Yan Hayashi, Pabllo Vittar's manager called me asking if I could direct this video featuring Charli XCX and make everything happen in less than 2 business days (48 hrs), most people would have said no. When you think about all the components and pieces that go into making a higher production music video then you know it’s almost impossible, but I've never stopped believing in the impossible. I immediately hit up every person I knew to find a production company/executive producer crazy enough to take this project on. Everyone turned me down until I was referred by a friend at Apple to Jenn & Sacha (ANTI DOTE.) These two angels put everything aside and believed in the impossible with me. In a couple hours we had one of the industries greatest on board to DP, Anthony Kimata, who recently shot Nicki Minaj, Megatron and Cardi B/City Girls video. We were able to formulate the perfect crew. Shot out to a wonderful producer (Matt Silva) AD (Mel Anderson) Choreographer (Flavio Verne) Stylist (JOÃO FRANÇA) Beauty (Gott Mik) BTS (Ernna Cost & Devy) Set Designer (Francesca Marina) Edit & VFX (Tu/Olio Creative) Color (Quinn/Apache) The Dancers (David, Lalo, Malcolm & Filip) & the rest of the entire crew! You all were incredible, and nothing this magical gets made by one person, it takes a village.

I appreciate everyone who’s ever made radical and queer art with me.

As creators we help contribute to the cultural landscape, painting our horizons with the fantasy or realism that exists in our scattered minds.

The accompanying music video is well choreographed, with song’s photoshoot motif seamlessly bleeding into the “Flash Pose” visual. It’s a party that none of us are invited to but all wish we were; after all, there’s no party like a Charli party.

The music video, which just dropped online, sees Pabllo and Charli surrounded by a group of fierce male dancers as they strike a pose for the camera and even converse on a stiletto mobile phone. Stunning!
