CAMPAIGN

We honor Lyon-Martin's enduring legacy with the mantra #yourlegacyisourlegacy, recognizing the pivotal role individuals play as the key to our safe spaces. Inspired by Lyon-Martin's pursuit of a 'forever home,' we weave together their rich history, the promise of a new building, and the diverse experiences of the community they serve. Through cinematic storytelling and immersive soundscapes, we evoke the profound emotions of comfort, belonging, and connection, inviting participants to define 'home' in their own terms. Together, we champion Lyon-Martin's mission, extending our arms to embrace all who seek sanctuary, especially those uprooted from unsafe states, forging a path toward equality, inclusion, and compassionate care.

OBJECTIVE

With an overall project budget of $7.5 million, Lyon-Martin Community Health Center requires a $2 million raise. With the surge of backlash against trans and queer people across the country, the need for their services in San Francisco is growing. The time to act is now. They invite support in building a community health clinic that carries forward the legacy of their namesakes, Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon, and reflects the dignity, beauty, and purpose of the people they serve. Lyon-Martin's goals are clear:

  • Serve 1000 more patients per year, up from 4000+.

  • Build their forever home to ensure stability and increase access to queer and transgender healthcare.

  • Establish drop-in community space for people to rest and recharge, including their devices, without fear of being stigmatized.

  • Create drop-in and free access to a washer and dryer.

  • Provide multi-purpose flex space & kitchenette to host community events, gatherings, and collaborations with partner groups.

They invite others to join them in this transformative journey as they strive to ensure that Lyon-Martin Community Health Center remains a beacon of hope and healthcare excellence for generations to come.
